Driven to Remember Event Details
Purpose of this event. To raise funds and awareness to support Gold Star and military families through several nonprofits. Nonprofits involved and benefitting are Special Operations Warrior Foundation, Spookstock, and Black Dagger Military Hunt Club Inc. Additionally, the event will provide an opportunity for the Motor Enclave community to provide the space and interaction to give the families fellowship, connection, and an unforgettable experience. These families shoulder a burden no family ever wants!
*What is a Gold Star Family? A Gold Star family is the immediate family of a U.S. military service member who died in the line of duty. The term originates from the tradition of replacing the blue star on a family’s service flag with a gold star when a loved one is lost in military service.
Plans for the day. Since this is America’s 250th Anniversary, we have special plans for the day. Opening the day with a parachute demonstration team jumping in a huge American Flag, POW/MIA Flag, and a Gold Star Flag. After the parachute demo, we will have Gold Star family members and wounded veterans do the racing simulators, track experience, offroad experience, pool party, and wrapping things up with a concert. The concert will have unique and historic military items for silent and live auctions. Ending the evening, there will be a patriotic firework display, celebrating America and these families.
